Developing a capacity planner without development capacity? Jobbex provides the solution!

Jobbex was approached by one of their clients at the end of 2021 with the request to urgently gather a team of IT specialists (nearshore) for a long-term project. Our client provides global solutions for digital engineering, enterprise asset management, asset delivery and asset performance optimization services. By leveraging the power of data, digital twins, artificial intelligence and new technology, our client enables customers to automate and optimize their operations in a sustainable and responsible manner.

The challenge: building a capacity planner for the construction and maintenance of 33,000 wind turbines worldwide

For the construction of 33,000 wind turbines worldwide, both onshore and offshore, a capacity planner had to be developed. This so-called EAM Cloud Environment should make sure the right technicians and engineers are in the right place to maintain the windmills in the different regions.

The database had to contain the competences and specialisms of the technicians and forms the backbone of the application. An AI component also had to be added to the software stack, which could be used to take into account unpredictable environmental factors such as heavy wind and tide.

To realize this tool, our client was looking for four developers (two front-end, two back-end) and it was up to Jobbex to form this Remote Extended Team. It was an emphatic wish of the customer to appoint one senior developer in each role. They demanded IT specialists who are able to design the software stack in such a way that the criteria and objectives of the project are met.

Jobbex is your match-maker

The perfect candidates for this challenging project were drawn from the extensive Jobbex database. Within three weeks, the nearshore team was formed and the project could start on schedule.

Jobbex not only ensured that the right people ended up in the right positions, but also that both parties (i.e. client and IT-staff) were relieved from any bureaucratic tasks as much as possible, so they could be fully focused on the project itself. Close contact was maintained with the customer and the IT specialists. Paying sufficient attention to the onboarding trajectory is essential in Jobbex' approach. All parties involved meet frequently to discuss the progress, to process feedback and to adjust the process if necessary.

This way, Jobbex solves an urgent capacity problem while the quality of the services provided is guaranteed. At the same time, there is also an eye for a positive and humane working climate.
